You’re not imaging things – you have indeed seen this everywhere. Beauty Ed’s the world over are talking about Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water, but is it really as amazing as people are making it out to be? Yes, as with all the products we receive, we wait until we’ve actually thoroughly tried and tested them until we write about them, so you can be sure we’ve been doing exactly that – trialling it! This miracle cleanser is all it’s hailed to be – a miracle! Seriously fast and effective and just so crazy good, the only thing we’re questioning about this product is why it wasn’t created sooner. Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water is not only effective, it cleans & soothes your skin at the same time, no need for rinsing (no need to pull at the delicate skin around your eyes in an effort to remove makeup)! This is one of our ‘go to’ products and we know you’ll be hooked once you try it.

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24hr Foundation
This is one ridiculously amazing foundation! Flawless is no exaggeration and 24hr coverage isn’t either! Containing SPF15, ensuring protection from the sun, this foundation has a beautiful satin texture that glides on effortlessly and mattifies just enough to take away oiliness, leaving skin perfected, but not heavily masked. It enhances skin with full coverage and oil-control, yet still a light, not heavily made up finish. NV Colour
Hot off the heels of the UK launch, the young and fresh new makeup brand NV has now arrived at our shores. NV is a young, edgy and trend-driven makeup brand offering optimum style and the hottest colour selection with a retail price point that everyone can afford. Now, let’s just talk about that price point for a moment (and the offering of the perfect red lip, which yes, they absolutely do have a beautiful red lippy)… available from selected pharmacies, NV’s RRP starts at just $12.50, that’s pretty amazing huh?! Plus the colour range large, the lipsticks are deep, rich and velvety and the Cheeky Sticks are stunning. I’ve yet to try their nail polishes, but their shadows, lipsticks and duo eye crayons are fab! Head in-store and check them out!

Dr. LeWinn’s Multi-Moisture Balm
Ok, so, admittedly this product was a bit of a mystery at first; what is this multi-balm you speak of, we thought. We’re a sucker for all things Dr. Lewinn’s, so we were was super keen to investigate further. Turns out, ‘multi’ sums it up perfectly. This is pretty damn cool… a daily moisture booster, hydrating mask, lip ointment, makeup remover, it even soothes dry hands and cuticles, yeah it pretty much does it all! It’s luxurious, light and has no oily residue (and contains zero petroleum jelly, so it’s hypo allergenic – yay). Need a multi-tasker for travelling? Yeah, we’d pack this one. The Body Shop – Green Tea Ceremony
Ready to revive the body and detox the mind? Then get amongst The Body Shop’s Green Tea Ceremony collection – no milk required! If you’re a sucker for baths as the cooler season hits (which quite frankly, with this polar blast we’re experiencing here in NZ, the cool season is right now!) then you are going to want to get your hands on this collection. Green tea has been revered for over 400 years in social and cultural activities, including the Japanese Tea Ceremony, but did you know that some Japanese women apply it to their skin and bathe in it? It’s a skincare secret that’s been part of beauty regimes for generations, believed to help retain moisture and tighten pores, and it’s about to become part of our regime too! Now that summer’s behind us, autumn is upon us and winter is just around the corner, it’s time start thinking about our fading summer glow. Now, normally we don’t tend to feature tanning products here on Gurl Interrupted (we’re of the naturally tanned persuasion) however, when it comes to the best tanning products, even we’ve heard that Bondi Sands is the best! So, we got a few of our pigment-challenged friends on board to try out the new Dark Self Tanning Mist, mini Foam, Lotion & Wash Off products we received, to see if Bondi Sands lives up to the hype. We didn’t need to ask said friends twice! General consensus – Bondi Sands tanning products are indeed ‘the business’ (their actual words) and all agreed, Bondi Sands is the only tanning range that produces a salon quality, golden natural tan! Available now at Unichem, Life Pharmacy and selected pharmacies.
