Peter Alexander Celebrates His 30th Anniversary

Peter Alexander 30th Anniversary

Everyone’s favourite and most iconic sleepwear king, Peter Alexander, celebrates his 30th Anniversary, creating a luxurious PETER ALEXANDER Birthday Collection featuring stunning Australian supermodel and long-time fan of the brand Nicole Trunfio! Nicole joins his celebrity fan base stretching from Miranda Kerr, Nicole Richie, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga to Salma Hayek, Dame Edna Everidge, and even the Queen!

Peter Alexander 30th Anniversary

I may not be one of Peter’s celebrity fans, but I’m certainly one of Peter’s biggest fans! I’ve lusted after PA’s sleepwear for as long as I can remember, easily 20 years and have quite literally grown up with him. If I was flying from NZ to Australia (this predates his stores gracing our shores) Peter Alexander was first on my list of places to visit.

Over the years, my love for the sleepwear king has grown as I’ve seen him not only create hundreds of amazing sleepwear collections, but also I’ve seen his love for animals and what he’s done for numerous charities, including Paw Justice here in NZ and the RSPCA, for which he is an ambassador. Getting to meet him when he came to New Zealand a few years ago was such a highlight – there’s nothing better than meeting someone you’ve adored for years and discovering they’re as incredible in person as you’d always imagined – friendly, bubbly, so humble and just an absolute treat to be around, so when I heard Peter was celebrating his 30th anniversary, of course I jumped at the chance to feature this amazing milestone…

Peter Alexander 30th Anniversary
Over the course of Peter Alexander’s life he has been met with the challenge of overcoming adversity. From being voted least likely to succeed at school, to battling Dyslexia in an era where there was little understanding of the learning disability, to being advised at his first department store buying appointment ‘please take it all away and go and get yourself a different job’.

Launching PETER ALEXANDER in 1987 by designing and packaging up pyjamas on his mother’s kitchen table with a $3,000 loan from his father, and later having to mortgage his mother’s house for $100,000 to grow the business, who would have thought that 30 years later, Peter Alexander would have cemented a place in thousands of homes and boast 103 store across Australia and New Zealand.

Peter Alexander discusses this fabulous milestone of 30 years in the pyjama business; “30 years ago I had a stupid idea, and now I’m a household name – who would have thought! It really is amazing and a little overwhelming. How did I survive 30 years in the cutthroat fashion industry? Well being good in bed has certainly helped! Thank you to all the fans of the brand who have grown up with me and to my incredible Dream Team. I’m forever grateful to you for giving me – and my family – this opportunity to succeed.”

To celebrate this milestone, Peter Alexander has created a very special collection. “It’s my birthday and I will design what I want to – so I have created this over the top, limited edition luxe collection. For those who want to celebrate with me – think pink, celebratory & bubbly – that is what my 30 year collection is inspired by – French Champagne. “

This cheeky 30th Birthday collection features glamorous pink sequin nighties, luxurious faux fur gowns and on-trend silk bustiers! It also includes pyjama sets, Peter’s instantly recognisable sleep tees, and mix-and-match basics in a range of florals, polka dots and playful prints. There is something for all of Peter’s fans and the collection is way too good to be confined to the bedroom!

The PETER ALEXANDER 30th Birthday collection is available nationally in store and online in New Zealand for a limited time only.

The Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection Taking The World By Storm

Too Faced Sweet Peach

The Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection is causing an absolute storm in the beauty world, with the palette selling out in record time in the US (restock after restock proved that makeup fanatics couldn’t get enough of the gorgeous shades and sweet-peachy scent) and it’s easy to see why.

Too Faced Sweet Peach

I was lucky enough to get my hands on both the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow and Glow (highlighting) palette, and honestly, from everything I’ve seen and heard about the entire collection, these are probably the two I would most want and I’m totally enamoured with both. Yes the shadow palette is 100% worth the hype, but why there isn’t just as much hype over the Glow palette is just beyond me because it’s absolutely breathtaking.

Too Faced Sweet Peach

Touching first on the packaging, because as you know I’m an absolute sucker for packaging! The palettes are housed in a metal tin with embossed peaches on the outside, a beautiful peach-pink-light-peach ombre effect and a magnetic closing.

The scent – not gonna lie, you will constantly crave peaches when you have one of these palettes nearby. The scent is subtle, yet definitely, deliciously there. The eyeshadows are even infused with the antioxidant-rich essence of peach. Whaaaaaat?! Yes, it’s true, you’re getting all the best a peach can offer.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette
It’s the most wonderful mix of peachy pinks, corals and bronzes with a few different pops of colour thrown in for good measure. With buildable pigmentation and a buttery-soft texture, so many fabulous eye looks can be created using these 18 amazing colours…

Too Faced Sweet Peach

Top row:White Peach – White beige with satin finish
Luscious – Copper brown with metallic finish
Just Peachy – Rosy pink with gold shimmer
Bless Her Heart – Medium olive-green with shimmer
Tempting – Blackended brown with shimmer
Charmed, I’m Sure – Matte medium brown

Middle row:
Nectar – Light medium gold with frosted sheen
Cobbler – Red-brown with sheen
Candied Peach – Peach with slight pink glitter
Bellini – Light peach-pink with golden shimmer
Peach Pit – Dark red-brown with shimmer
Delectable – Dark purple with satin finish

Bottom row:
Peaches ‘n Cream – Matte light yellow-peach
Georgia – Matte medium peach
Caramelized – Bronze with frosted sheen
Puree – Matte caramel-brown
Summer Yum – Matte red-brown
Talk Derby To Me – Satin blackened purple

Bellini is such a perfect shade for an all-over glow, and Just Peachy and Candied Peach are great pops of peachy-pink color. I love Puree and Summer Yum for warm glowy-earth tones. And White Peach and Nectar are amazing highlight colors. There are some great purples (that go well with peachy tones), a charcoal/black, and even a green-ish shade. All up – it’s the perfect palette!

Too Faced Sweet Peach

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow
The Sweet Peach Glow Peach Infused Highlighting Palette is SO gorgeous! Of course, it smells like peaches, and it comes with three shades that can be used as highlighters, blushes and bronzers (depending on your skin tone – these could all be blushes or they could all be highlighters!). All I know is this one of the most incredible highlighting palettes I’ve ever laid my eyes on. Words won’t do this palette justice, but this video and the images do. Check them out here…

RUBY: La Collezione Pre-Fall 2017

RUBY La Collezione Pre-Fall 2017

Capturing the spirit of la gioia della vita, Italian for the joy of life, RUBY celebrates the magic of moments that feel honest and beautiful with La Collezione.

Deanna Didovich explores this state of mind through a rich, sensual aesthetic. We see flounces of pizzo lace, elaborate floral embroidery and contrasting silhouettes.

RUBY La Collezione Pre-Fall 2017
Polka dot print makes an appearance on playful separates and livens up the plunging halter Vita dress. With a dramatic wide leg and high cut waist, the Paloma trousers partner with an off-the-shoulder crop top to carry them from daytime to evening. Casual dressing is catered to with low-slung drawstring pants; just add an oversized muslin blouse for a dose of RUBY nonchalance.

The colour palette is both vibrant and lush. Seaside tones of lapis blue and ivory are joined by a flirty Amarena cherry red, offset by more muted hues of caramel, khaki and black.

Matched with glittering gold accessories, the look is opulent and fit for an Italian princess.

The Top 7 Perfumes On Her Wishlist

Top 7 perfumes on her wishlist

Wondering which perfumes are on her wish list for spring, summer and of course, Christmas? Well, look no further because these are the top 7 perfumes I’ve hand selected as being the standouts. Whether you like sophisticated, intoxicating, subtle or sweet, rest assured you’ll find something here that you love.

If you’ve been following Gurlinterrupted for years you’ll know of my love of perfumes. I don’t care whether it’s considered a ‘designer scent’ or a ‘celebrity scent’, those labels mean nothing to me; they’re all created by professional perfumiers. All I’m interested in are beautiful scents that I’ve truly tried, tested and fallen in love with. And these are the chosen top 7…

TOCCA – Stella

Top 7 perfumes on her wishlist

I fell in love with Sella by Tocca about 10 years ago, heck maybe it was even longer than that – all I know is that it was love at first scent. In my opinion its one of the most intoxicating perfumes ever created. What’s strange is that I’m not the biggest fans of a citrus-based scent and yet this one is, and I’m still completely enamoured. It could be the healthy serving of sweetness, of which I adore, that balances out the citrus, well that’s what I think anyway.

TOCCA means “touch” in Italian – bringing a touch of luxury to elevate every day. The brand takes inspiration from old-world Europe, but infuses a modern, fresh edge. Recognized as a fragrance house of distinctive and exquisite scents, TOCCA works with world-renowned perfumers and uses only the finest ingredients to create their custom-made fragrances.

Stella attracts your senses with Blood Orange and Spicy Lily. A flirtatious combination of White Freesia paired with Wild Diamond Orchids, Sheer Musk, and Sandalwood create a fresh sensual fragrance.

Stella by Tocca is not the easiest perfume to track down. It used to be solely stocked at WORLD (now, we’re going back – they haven’t stocked it for a while) however, much to my delight, you can now get Stella (Tocca perfumes) at Mecca Cosmetica stores (or meccabeauty.co.nz if your based here in NZ – thank goodness for that!

YSL – Mon Paris

Top 7 perfumes on her wishlist

Yves Saint Laurent, that bastion of French fashion sure does know a thing or two about Paris… As with all brands, YSL look to take inspiration from their legendary fragrances, presenting new twists on their iconic signatures. Most recently they have had tremendous success with Black Opium, a modern and gourmand take on their iconic spice bomb from the 1970s. Straight off the back of this huge hit, YSL have decided to give the legendary Paris the ‘Black Opium’ treatment with a brand new flanker that injects a modern twist into the fragrance. Actually, scrap that. Mon Paris is an entirely new fragrance that explores flowers and fruits – a Paris for 2016 and a new chapter in the YSL oeuvre.

Mon Paris smells perfectly on trend. It’s a vivacious blend of vibrant fruits, bursting with sugary sweetness, effervescent flowers and soft vanilla. What it adds to the plethora of edible fruity florals out there is a glistening transparency that isn’t always seen in this style. Mon Paris, like the city’s streets, will flirt with you – it will dazzle you with brightness, noise and gourmand delights, but it wont give you an overdose. Instead, Mon Paris gives one just enough to keep them hooked – to guarantee that they will visit again, and next time they’ll be desperate for that second hit.

Britney Spears – Private Show

Top 7 perfumes on her wishlist

Britney Spears’s newest fragrance, Private Show is inspired by her current residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and is the award-winning recording artist’s 20th fragrance. She’s been creating fragrances for over 10 years now – can you believe it?!

The new perfume is a floral fruity gourmand. It opens with sweet and fresh notes of clementine, nectarine and coffee with whipped cream (yup – you read that right, her love of Starbucks Frappuccinos made it into the top notes of her perfume). The mid notes – dulce de leche, orange blossom and sambac jasmine; the warm dry down consists of luminous amber and sensual musk..

Many of Britney’s bottles are brightly coloured and look super modern. This bottle, however, is precious. Shaped like a diamond, it looks like a perfume you would see on the vanity in an old Hollywood film. The bottle, aesthetically, looks more mature than her other fragrances, and it smells that way, too. I unashamedly adore Britney’s perfumes and this one doesn’t disappoint.

Nicki Minaj – Trini Girl

Top 7 perfumes on her wishlist

This is Nicki’s newest fragrance – it reflects the exotic beauty and captivating charm of her Trinidadian heritage. This is a fragrance to inspire fans with the message of staying true to who you are and where you come from.

Minaj started out in the fragrance business with Pink Friday in 2012 housed in a bottle representing herself. Eight busts later, the black and pink Trini Girl flacon looks even more like her. But if you’re not a fan of the bottle, don’t let it put you off trying the perfume, because it truly is hypnotic.

Trini Girl has the fresh, vivacious fragrance of a tantalising cocktail of lychee, blood orange, quince, sorbet, apple blossom, Trinidadian chaconia flower and dewy leaves, revealing a sensual finish of creamy coconut and white musk. All of these notes together create a gorgeous fresh floral-fruity blend of deeeeeliciousness!

Elizabeth Arden – 5th Avenue Only NYC

Top 7 perfumes on her wishlist

Inspired by the pace, rush, energy and vibe of New York, this latest addition to the 5th Avenue fragrance stable is a surprising, fresh take on the range.

The top opens to a fruity citrus hit of Italian mandarin oil, Italian bergamot, pink peppercorn and cassis. This gives way to a floral heart of magnolia, wild peony (ahhh peonies), mimosa flower and decadent plum, before finally settling on a base of white amber, cream sandalwood and elegant Orris, making this new creation perfect for sundowners and the long summer nights that follow.

The packaging is a fitting nod to the city that never sleeps. Encased in a textured black, accented with hot pink, box, the bottle is modern with a hint of art décor styling thrown in for good measure.

Viktor & Rolf – Flowerbomb

Top 7 perfumes on her wishlist

Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, whose fascination with flowers led them to research the idea of the “flower bomb”, created a scent that takes on the qualities of an explosion of flowers – with a thousand petals in one bottle (yes, one thousand!). In the way that their couture creations are the ultimate luxury, Flowerbomb is their highest form of olfactory opulence.

Using the attraction of opposites that Viktor & Rolf are famous for, Flowerbomb is “an antidote to today’s reality, an expression of our dreams.” Created by three perfumery experts – Olivier Polge, Carlos Benaim and Domitille Bertier – the concept is simple, but the result is floral extravagance. With notes including tea, bergamot, Sambac jasmine, freesia, patchouli and a thousand Centifolia rose petals, Flowerbomb is an intensely rich and divine bouquet of oriental, floral and fruity notes.

Alluring, delicate, but packed with a powerful floral punch, Flowerbomb is heavenly.

Tom Ford – Orchid Soleil

Top 7 perfumes on her wishlist

Ok, let’s be honest, the rose-gold packaging and bottle alone is enough turn heads! It’s one of the most Instagram-worthy perfumes I’ve ever seen, and whilst that’s not the most important thing, it’s a nice touch. Obviously it also smells absolutely incredible or it wouldn’t have made the Top 7 Perfumes On Her Wishlist post. It’s the triple-threat-perfume; it looks good, the scent is stunning and it lingers on your skin all day.

Fans of the original and non- private blend Tom Ford fragrance dynasty will instantly recognise the iconic bottle – the only difference this time around is that Tom Ford Orchid Soleil has been dipped in a rose gold coating – it glimmers, it reflects and it will remind you of both liquid gold and the heat of the sun.

Does anybody do Orchid scents better than Tom Ford?  This scent does of course have a certain familiarity, but due to the additions of warmer notes, it has a new and exciting energy. Tom Ford Orchid Soleil is bold, bright, slightly zesty with a creamy dry down. Think warm summer days and sizzling hot nights, bronze skin and exotic locations. The official note line up is outstanding; top notes: Bigarade, Pink Peppercorn and Fresh Cypress. At the heart: Orchid (obviously), Spider Lily and Tuberose. Last but certainly not least we have the beautiful accents of Vanilla Chestnut Cream and Patchouli.

Top 7 perfumes on her wishlist

Whether you’re looking for a scent for her for Christmas or perhaps its a ‘just because’ gift, I’m sure you’ll find something in this ‘Top 7 Perfumes On Her Wishlist post.

Brocade Trend Alert

trend alert brocade

Trend alert! Brocade is no longer restricted to the cooler seasons. With its bi-seasonal potential, the fabric is narrating a modern sartorial story. These days they can be found in many styles under various price brackets. Print-heavy pieces are one of the easiest to incorporate in your  summer wardrobe. You may also think it’s strictly for the evening but brocade dresses down quite nicely as well.

trend alert brocade

image via highondreaming

Brocade, an embossed woven-silk material shot through with metallic threads, has been worn to convey social status for centuries in places such as Byzantium, China, Italy and India. As the old expression goes, “Money talks,” well, so do clothes and fabrics. They tell stories about our personalities, our income and our dreams. Considered to be one of the finest fabrics, brocade is making a rich comeback on international runways in everything from craftily made spaghetti tops, brocade print on boldly-coloured furs, prints used as burnt velvet on sheer silk, as well as jackets and patchwork.

trend alert brocade

As with many strong looks, the key to pulling it off is about moderation. “Limit it to one piece,” suggest designer duo Diya Aroraa and Rajvvir Aroraa of the label DiyaRajvvir. “Stick to one patterned item, and make it the centrepiece of your look. Watch out for too much volume as it can make you look like an overstuffed armchair. Instead, go for clean, structured lines in modern shapes such as a pencil skirt or blazer. No tufting or gathers. A flippy skirt would look fab paired with a cosy cropped jacket and a moto jacket paired with skinnies in a warm hue is another great option,” they conclude.

Is brocade on your trend alert radar; so much so you’ll be donning a piece this summer?

Is The iPhone 7 Plus Camera Really Any Good?

iPhone 7 Plus

It’s the question everyone is asking – is the iPhone 7 Plus camera really any good? It might look almost the same as its predecessors, but the iPhone 7 Plus has a range of updates that make it the best yet. Should you upgrade though? Find out in this iPhone 7 Plus review…

First up, and this is a biggie – Portrait is now available in the latest iOS update! (who doesn’t love a crisp focal point with a blurred background? Just saying.) Portrait mode is seriously changing the game in smartphone photography. Hell, as if the dual camera wasn’t enough, add to the mix Portrait mode and you can 100% comfortably leave that heavy DSLR at home, because the 7 Plus can do it all. Look how good portrait mode is!

iPhone 7 Plus
In addition to Portrait mode, the dual-camera system on iPhone 7 Plus offers optical zoom at two times and up to 10 times digital zoom for photos. includes optical image stabilisation, a larger ƒ/1.8 aperture and a new 6-element lens enabling brighter, more detailed photos and videos any time of day, while a wide colour capture allows for more vibrant colours with more detail.

You know you’re on to something amazing when you start to get asked for photography tips, as well as asked what apps you’re using because your Instagram feed has been looking especially amazing in the last month or so. Honestly, it’s not apps at all – it’s literally since I’ve had the iPhone 7 Plus in my hot little hand, that I’ve been able to up my photography game even more. Oh, and if you’re not following me on Insty – hit me up: gurlinter_upted, and while we’re doing the social media thing – I’m on Snapchat too: gurlinterrupted (when I say ‘I’m on Snapchat’ – I mean I live on it, big time!) Check out that colour and definition.

iPhone 7 Plus

iPhone 7 Plus

iPhone 7 Plus

One of the main reasons I wasn’t ready to let go of my DSLR was because I love having control of the depth of field. Now with Portrait mode, you really can do absolutely everything with the iPhone 7 Plus camera. It turns the camera you carry around with you everyday into an even more powerful photography tool. Oh, and those clever peeps at Apple have also changed the selfie camera at the front from a 5Mp to a 7Mp sensor. Thank you!

On to a few other stand out features of the iPhone 7 Plus (don’t worry, I wouldn’t leave you without a few photography tips – that’ll come at the end, so stay tuned) which, if the dual camera alone isn’t enough, will definitely show you why you need this phone in your life…

Storage options
Choose from 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. Personally, I couldn’t say no to the 256GB – this luxurious capacity means you can use the shmancy dual camera capabilities to your heart’s content without worrying about running out of space.

The home button
The home button is no longer a physical push button. It looks no different to its predecessor, but has no moving parts. Instead, you get haptic feedback from the new, larger Taptic Engine and it’s possible to set three different levels depending on whether you prefer a weaker or stronger feeling when the button ‘clicks’. It works exactly the same way it always has, but in iOS 10 you now have to press the button to unlock the phone – there’s no more swiping.

Water resistance
The iPhone 7 Plus is now water-resistant, so you can immerse it up to 1m for up to 30 minutes. It’s worth pointing out we’re talking about fresh water here. Don’t go using it to take photos/video in the sea or a swimming pool full of chemicals (hello – chemicals!) It means that accidentally dropping your phone in the bath, toilet (yes, this is more common than you think), or spilling a glass of water over it, shouldn’t harm it.

Headphone jack
The other major change is that there’s no headphone jack. Instead the bundled headphones come with a Lightning connector, but if you prefer to use your existing headphones, there’s a Lightning-to-minijack adaptor in the box as well.

iPhone 7 Plus

Stereo speakers
As with the iPhone 7, the Plus also gets stereo speakers. One is in the usual place on the bottom edge and the other is in the earpiece. It means the iPhone basically has the best (in my humble opinion) smartphone sound quality, EVER! It’s particularly good when watching videos, netflix (yeah – that screen is the perfect size) and of course, playing all your favourite bangers.

iPhone 7 Plus Performance
The iPhone 6S Plus was fast, but the 7 Plus is faster – thanks to the new A10 Fusion processor. This is Apple’s first quad-core chip in an iPhone. This will be key in years to come as new versions of iOS become more demanding and apps really take advantage of the extra speed.

iPhone 7 Plus

Battery life
Can you have better performance and better battery life without making a thicker phone? If you’re Apple – yes! The 7 Plus has a 2900mAh battery, up from 2750mAh. In layman terms – I’m on my phone 24/7 – always taking photos, always on every social media platform and sometimes, dun dun duuuuuun, making phone calls and texting, and I have to say, the iPhone 6 was good, but damn, the 7 Plus is better! I will easily get an entire day of use out of my phone and wont need to even think about charging it until I hop into bed each night and finally, log off for the evening.

As promised here are a few cool tips to release your inner fashion photographer using the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, which of course, can also be used across all types of photography…

  1. Lock focus for sharp catwalk snaps
You can set and lock your focal point by tapping and holding the screen. A yellow square will pop up on the screen, indicating what you’ve focussed on, letting you follow the subject and keep a sharp shot.
  2. Exposure
After you tap to focus, you may have seen a yellow sun symbol come up when you shoot photos. This is to help control the exposure. Slide the sun up and down to make the photo lighter or darker.
  3. Take a picture whilst recording
If you cannot decide between shooting video and still photography you’re in luck. When you start filming you will see a white shutter to take photos near the record button. Tap that shutter for simultaneous photography and video.
  4. Burst
If you hold down the shutter continuously you will take a series of continuous images, or a burst. You can hold down for literally hundreds of photos to capture a very precise moment – whether it’s the detail of a dress, the perfect spin of a catwalk turn or the wink of an eye. These can be whittled down to just your favourites in a few seconds by choosing Edit.
  5. Live Photos
These came out with iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus last year and capture a few seconds around each photo, so they come to life and give you a little bit of Harry Potter magic in each snap. You know you are taking a Live Photo if the round symbol in the iPhone camera is yellow.
  6. Zoom
Thanks to the dual-camera system and ISP technology on iPhone 7 Plus, you can now get super sharp close-up photos and videos with optical zoom and improved digital zoom, letting you capture more detail and expression in your subjects – even if you aren’t front and centre!
  7. Low light
The addition of optical image stabilisation, an ƒ/1.8 aperture and a six-element lens on iPhone 7 makes it even better for shooting photos and videos in low light, so if you’re dressed to the nines for a night out, your snaps will look just as impressive.|

WIN: Specsavers Spectacle Wearer Of The Year

Specsavers Spectacle Wearer Of The Year

And so the search begins for the Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of The Year…  Sex and The City actress, Kim Cattrall touched down in New Zealand last week to lead the search with Specsavers to find New Zealand’s most stylish spec-wearer. Oh, and did I mention I was lucky enough to meet and dine with the hollywood beauty? Specsavers you’re amazing!

Specsavers Spectacle Wearer Of The Year

Kim takes up the role of star judge and ambassador for the Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of The Year competition, following in the footsteps of fellow proud spec-wearing ambassadors – actresses Eva Longoria, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Margot Robbie, style icon and Mad Men star Christina Hendricks and international supermodel Helena Christensen.

Kim is the perfect ambassador for Specsavers – not only is she an absolute inspiration to women the world over, an amazing award-winning actress, and someone who I could personally talk to for hours, she’s a true blue spec-wearer (like myself)…

Kim said, “I remember looking for glasses during one of my first shopping experiences. I was apprehensive but loved it, there were so many styles to choose from and I must have tried on most of the specs on display. In fact, I still have that first pair!”

“I like wearing glasses so I can see, obviously, but also because a smart of pair of glasses and the right frame for my face is enough of a fashion statement in itself. For me, glasses are the ultimate accessory which is why I’m excited to come to New Zealand to help Specsavers find the most stylish spec wearer.”

Specsavers Spectacle Wearer Of The Year

My excitement and happiness at meeting Kim still has me on cloud nine and I really could talk [see: write] about Kim for hours, but I really must move on to the reason for my meeting Miss Cattrall and how you could be in to win the most fabulous of prizes by becoming the 2016 Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the Year…

Specsavers is on the lookout for spec-wearing champions, Kiwis who love their glasses and celebrate wearing them with style and confidence.

The entrant crowned Spectacle Wearer of the Year will win a trip for two to NYC including $1,000 spending money, will have the opportunity to meet award-winning actress, Kim Cattrall, and will also receive a Spectacle Wearer of the Year prize pack, including a year’s supply of designer glasses from Specsavers.

Spectacle Wearer of the Year encourages Kiwis from the tip of the North Island to the South to enter and show off their personal spec-style. All you have to do is snap a selfie in your specs to be in to win. Here’s a pair I fell in love with at Specsavers…
