When I first received my ghd ‘Lagoon’ styler I didn’t know whether to use it or frame it! I mean yes, it’s stunning – like a piece of art (I don’t think I’ll ever tire of gazing at this magnificent colour combo – especially the glamorous greenness of it all) but what I wanted to know was, would there be any difference between my new Bird of Paradise styler and my old ghd styler? Let’s just say I didn’t realise just how long I’d had my ghd’s. Safe to say I have the OG of ghd’s. Beautiful Editorials: Annie Leibovitz’s Disney Dream Portraits

World renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz has been capturing shots of celebrities as popular Disney characters for years as part of her ongoing collection of Disney Dream Portraits. The latest addition to her portfolio of work is Academy Award nominated actress Jessica Chastain as the fiery-haired Merida from the animated feature film Brave.

Leibovitz’s series takes beloved cartoon characters from the classic Disney films and transforms them into live-action versions of themselves with the help of a few celebrities. While not all of the photographer’s renditions are direct copies of their cartoon counterparts, they offer a sense of magic and fantasy come to life.

While Scarlett Johansson looks like a real-life Cinderella who has lost her slipper as she escapes the Prince’s ball, a brown-haired Beyoncé offers a new perspective for Alice in Wonderland. MONTBLANC Legend Intense

As the song goes ‘this is a mans world’… Well it is when a fragrance is this good and it’s created for a guy. Montblanc’s new ‘Legend Intense’ is everything a man looks for in a fragrance (well I know my guy is crazy for this fabulous masculine perfume anyway).

My guy has been constantly saying, ever since his favourite cologne was discontinued 2 years ago, “there will never be a scent that’s as good as the one I used to have”. The problem is, he was right (words I very rarely utter) he really did have the most amazing cologne and one that we thought we couldn’t replace. New Shoes – The Latest From Mr. W & Me

If you follow me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook you will have seen that my latest delivery arrived last week from my fave online boutique shoe store – Mr. W & Me. Not only did my new winter boots arrive, but on popping back to the site (as I regularly do) I discovered that Mr. W & Me has loaded their new line of Italian loafers.

As far as I’m concerned, no one does Italian leather loafers like Mr. W & Me. OMGTEA!

It’s no secret I’ve recently made quite a lifestyle change. Eating healthier, exercising regularly, losing weight (in a healthy way, not the “I’m doing a gimmicky diet” kinda way, and just focussing on my health & wellbeing in general. Since taking this new ‘healthy living’ stance I’m now obsessed with discovering amazing new things that can be used as a catalyst for change, things that will help me on my journey, or at least make the journey as fun and easy as possible. Such as fast and effective YouTube workouts, juice cleansers, ‘raw’ meal options, well the list goes on. My latest discovery – OMGTEA. Now before you go all ‘waving your finger in a Z formation’ and saying ‘uh uh those diet teas aint no good’, read on…

OMGTEA takes a long-term approach to health based on nutrition, fitness and wellbeing. They don’t make any claims to dropping a tonne of weight in a week and they’re not a fan of popular diets and fitness programs that make claims like ‘eating bacon for breakfast every morning is fine because you can balance it out by fasting for one day a week’. Seriously? The sodium content in one serve of bacon alone is more than most adults need in a day. As far as fasting goes for health or weight loss, not only is this confusing for your metabolism, but an extreme form of deprivation that doesn’t nurture how you feel about your body.

Basically what OMGTEA claims to do is improve digestion and cardiovascular health, and in turn you should experience increased energy, decreased sugar cravings and suppressed appetite. The physical effects range from weight loss to improved clarity in skin complexion and reduced cellulite. Their teas do NOT contain senna (a horrid ingredient that causes short-term weight loss via its laxative effect) and for this reason I decided to give OMGTEA a whirl.

Now I’ve only recently started drinking OMGTEA regularly, but so far so good. I’m not an ambassador for OMGTEA, nor do I yet know what the long-term results are, however, since taking on my new healthy lifestyle some of you have asked what I’m doing, what my fitness regime is, what I’m eating, drinking, etc, so I’m simply sharing my experiences along the way and so far, I’m kinda lovin OMGTEA.

Well Aren’t These Just #thesh*t

Because who wouldn’t want embroidered poop emblazoned across their beautiful Italian loafers?!

Fashion industry favourite – Edie Parker, has teamed up with legendary shoemaker – Del Toro, to design exclusively for online boutique Moda Operandi, the emoji loafer & purse collection, aptly named “M’oticons”.

I’ve been pondering the M’oticons range since their launch and quite honestly, my brain still doesn’t quite know how to process any of it! Don’t get me wrong, I love communicating in emoji as much as the next person, online! And it does combine two of my favourite things, symbols and hashtags, again, online! (and not in overkill) But on my shoes? Well, I’m just not sure I’m feelin it.

OK, let’s start with the poop shoe, or more accurately #theshit – yes, they named this slick slipper #theshit. Now, enter the price tag, circa US$340. So, just to clarify… two fashion industry faves have collaborated to create a line of fabulous Italian loafers, of which they’ve embroidered with various emojis, one of which is called #theshit. It doesn’t end there – you can also treat yourself to #Dabomb loafer (with a bomb and fire on each shoe), #QueenBee (featuring the queen and bee emojis), #DancingQueen, #HighMaintenance (hmmm maybe I should consider that pair) and several other partnered emoticons. But wait, there’s more, you can also bag yourself (pun intended) a matching clutch for a cool $1,595. Yeah, I think I’ll probably just stick to the emojis on my iPhone and let this fad pass me by. I mean sure, maybe if they were under $50 so that I didn’t feel bad when I binned them, once they reached their expiry date.

As much as I’m clearly not the biggest fan of the overpriced M’oticon shoe range, they’re certainly still worth a mention, if not just for the pure amusement of it all.
