Benefit Cosmetics – My ‘Must Haves’ and ‘Lust List’…

Those of you that follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. will already be fully aware of how excited I am about Benefit Cosmetics announcing their arrival in New Zealand.  With this exciting news in mind, I thought I’d take you through my current Benefit favs (the products I have been using and love, basically from the moment they launched) as well as touching on the Benefit products I am coveting and WILL BE acquiring the moment Benefit touches down in good ol’ Kiwi Land.

Benefit Cosmetics had me from day one with their absolutely stunning packaging.  I’ve never denied the fact I am a Marketers ideal consumer. I am a total sucker for packaging (don’t judge) and I truly believe no cosmetics company does it better than Benefit when it comes to beautiful packaging. But it’s not just the packaging that keeps me coming back for more.  As a qualified makeup artist, I obviously won’t be drawn in by packaging alone – the product needs to stack up; and their products are damned good.  Benefit ticks all the boxes as far as I’m concerned.  Visually beautiful, affordable, quality products!

Here are some of my tried and true products that I am currently using and would happily recommend to ‘Benefit Newbies’.  Perhaps a ‘starter for 10’ if you, like me, are putting together your Benefit ‘wish-list’ in anticipation of their arrival…

They’re Real! Mascara.  Believe the hype! This mascara is simply AMAZING!

POREfessional.  Not only does this product minimize pores significantly, it also acts like a BB Cream, giving the appearance of flawless skin, as well as being a great base for foundation.

High Beam.  Oh what this does for cheeks and brow bones!  The perfect luminescent complexion enhancer and one of THE best highlighters to date.

Sugarbomb Face Powder.  These four shimmering shades of goodness give a beautiful sun-kissed radiance when swept across your cheeks.

Finding Mr Bright. If you are looking to try a few of Benefit’s top sellers, this is a must-have kit.

And now for the list of items I am coveting.  Obviously I want everything, alas, all in good time.  But for now, these are top on my ‘Lust-List’…

Creaseless Cream Shadow.  This looks amazing and I just love a good creaseless shimmer on my eyelids.

Ultra Plus Lip Gloss.  You all know how much I LOVE a good semi nude lip gloss and Benefit Lip Glosses look divine!

Crescent Row Scent-Sational Beauty Notes Stationary Kit.  I did tell you I was a sucker for packaging.  Well this is just too beautiful not to have on display amongst my cosmetics.  Not to mention – a fabulous storage tin!

So that’s it for my tried & true ‘Must Haves’ and ‘Lust-List’ items.  Now, if there are any Benefit products that I haven’t listed on here and you think that I should add them to my ‘lust-list’, I’d love to hear about them! So please let me know in the comments box.  I love getting your recommendations just as much as I love putting together my recommendations for you.

The Miscellaneous Musings Of A Girl Interrupted By Fashion, Beauty & Anything Pretty That Catches My Eye. I am passionately in love with the colour green!! I've always loved green, even as a child. My mother said this would wane as I got older. it did not!! I love nothing more than having the mundane interrupted by all things beautiful and fashionable. Passing time in tiny cafes with a pot of tea and a pile of magazines. Sitting under a tree with my favourite book or ‘old-school’ journal jotting down blogging ideas. Taking photographs of beautiful things, sitting front row at Fashion Week. Giant bunches of fragrant flowers, burning Ecoya candles, vintage jewellery. Trawling antique shops and markets for antique books, writing slopes and jewellery boxes. Hibernating indoors by the fire during winter, laying on freshly mowed grass eating pastries and sipping on raspberry lemonade during summer. The red sole of louboutins, exciting parcels arriving at the door with forgotten online purchases or product samples. Unwrapping the tissue of ‘just bought’ items of clothing from my favourite stores, Marc Jacobs, Karen Walker, Storm, Decjuba, Glassons, Loumina, Country Road, Bobbi Brown, MAC, oh the list goes on… Please do write to me at any time with comments, invites, press notes, media releases, things you’d like me to try and your own favourite finds. • Ahhh also soo excited! A bit nervous about how much mark-up us Kiwis will get slapped with though… Will be interesting to see! Their Twitter feed doesn’t mention anything about launching in Wellington; fingers crossed they come down quickly after setting up in Auckland!

    • Hiya – thanks for commenting 🙂 Yes Im hoping there isn’t too much of a mark-up and if there is, hopefully it will counteract the shipping fees when buying from overseas. I will see if I can find out re Wellington and Christchurch and will put an update on my blog as soon as I know.
