Gurlinterrupted is on YouTube! Woohooooo. So I know its been a while since I’ve posted, BUT, it’s all been for good reason! I’ve been wanting to enter the world of vlogging for so long! However (and I’m certainly not saying I’ve mastered it after one go, not by a long shot) I wanted to enter YouTube the right way. That meant months and months of research to find out what equipment I needed – lighting, software, artwork for my YouTube channel and then of course, getting myself comfortable filming. I actually surprised myself that my first take was my final take. I quickly learnt it’s the editing, downloading and uploading that takes the longest amount of time. Although I’ve always felt that my strength lies in my writing, I’ve also always had that niggling little feeling that I can’t quite get across, solely via words and photography, all the things that I want to. Whether it’s showing you beauty products, fashion finds, the absurd amount of shoes in my shoe collection, my fascination with jewellery & accessories, my love for vintage finds, book and film reviews, putting together tutorials, or maybe just wanting to chat you to about random things – majority of the time, in the back of my mind, I was thinking “is this really translating”? There’s nothing quite like someone actually talking to you whilst showing you what it is that they’re talking about. I do want to stress though that my blog, right here, is still going to be a huge focus, and I’m not moving away from my blog – I’m just bringing in a new element, plus I’ve always wanted to get into Vlogging/YouTube, as I’ve always felt a real pull towards it, and knew it was something I’ve been wanting to do for so, sooo long! ANYWAY, bottom line, I’m on You Tube, I’m Vlogging, and I love it! YAY.
