This season Le Specs boldly goes where no lens has gone before. Drawing inspiration from all things intergalactic, designer Hamish Tame takes dark and digital references and fuses them into a harmonious capsule for Sky Gazer.
The shadowy hues of empty space lend themselves to the collection’s dramatic colour palette. Deep purple, steel greys and charcoal black are given depth and texture with matte, metallic and crystal-clear acetate treatments. Referencing the reflective surface of astronaut visors, bold bright mirror-effect and oil-slick lenses sit in stark contrast against the stone-cold toned, tactile frames.
Silhouettes are clean in the form of round, angular and aviator styles while tough, hard-edged shapes give a nod to 1950’s sci-fi.
Le Specs further extends its international presence to over 30 countries worldwide and has attracted the attention of high-profile fans including Rihanna, Olivia Wilde and Miranda Kerr.
