Held in Auckland’s hotspot – Ponsonby Central, beauty media attended the New Zealand launch of International cosmetics brand – ARTDECO…
For those of you as deeply emerged [see: infatuated] in the fashion & beauty world as I am, will already be well aware of beauty brand ARTDECO, a cosmetics brand synonymous with European fashion powerhouses and celebrities alike. The perfect symbiosis between cosmetics, art and fashion is an exciting theme explored within the ARTDECO brand, with the inaugural collection for the New Zealand launch being a collaboration with fashion house Talbot Runhof, which has dressed celebrities as diverse as Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie and Oprah Winfrey. In this collection, Western feeling meets Asian spirit with exhilarating colours ranging from soft beige to rich aubergine and teal, in addition to the matching limited Art Design Beauty Box and tri-coloured blusher with embossed design.
ARTDECO is the undefeated leader in Germany’s selective market since 2005, outshining all other international luxury brands in its home country. The standout, and major point of difference, which I think is safe to say is probably the key to their success, is ARTDECO’s continuous focus on individuality! We don’t all have the same needs or wants when it comes to makeup; and ARTDECO recognises this through their offering of individualised colour collections, collections where YOU choose and create your ideal colour palette of cosmetics with the “Systeme Mosaique”. The Systeme Mosaique lies at the heart of the ARTDECO collection, a range of refillable magnetised boxes and products that allow customers to build their own customised palette. The range boasts 62 eyeshadows, 12 blushers, 9 camouflage creams and 3 eyebrow powders, allowing us to build our own personal ‘beauty box’.
Come on, hands up who’s bought a palette and only used 1 or 2 of the colours, but had to buy the whole palette simply to get the few colours that suit you, the rest remaining redundant. It’s my pet hate when it comes to colour palettes and it’s damned costly when you aren’t even getting to use the whole palette. ARTDECO’s makeup is not only totally affordable, it’s customisable, so you’re saving even MORE money, buy solely purchasing the colours and products that you know you will use! I have to say media were incredibly spoilt, in that we got to customise our very own palettes at the ARTDECO launch, and I created what I expect will be ‘my ideal colour combo of eyeshadows and blushes’ by choosing all my favourite earthy, shimmery nudes and neutral hues.
ARTDECO also has a basics collection, a complete range of fashionable makeup products – from high-performance foundations and bases, to a diverse selection of lipsticks, lip pencils and glosses, a multitude of mascaras and eyeliners, as well as a colourful choice of 36 ceramic nail lacquers. So there is definitely something for everyone!!
Available exclusively in 26 Farmers stores nationwide, ARTDECO will be available in New Zealand from 8 November. Oh, also – to celebrate the launch and introduce New Zealand women to the refillable Systeme Mosaique, customers will receive the Limited Edition Talbot Runhof Beauty Box free when purchasing their choice of any four eyeshadow shades. Cool right?! Now, if you want to start planning your wish list, but need more info on pricing, I do have the price list, so just let me know in the comments section below if you would like some pricing information.
Having been allowed to test all their products at the launch (and of course all the products I got to take home with me), I can confirm, this is a quality beauty range, with an extensive selection of eyeshadows (with 100% colour pay-off), foundations, nail lacquers, eyeliners, mascaras and more.
