Overlooking Auckland harbour, in a secret room hidden behind a wall of books, fashion media were invited to view a new chapter of Loobie’s Story – The Spring/Summer 2013 Collection entitled Yin & Yang.
Designer – Laurinda Sutcliffe explains “Loobie’s Story is a taste of what’s happening around the world. The things I’ve coveted the most. A merging of urban essentials with a little bit of the exotic, everyday. A collection that lets you tell your own unique and ever-changing story. Whatever’s going on for you. A story about a love for life and a life well lived”
The Loobie’s Story summer collection – Yin & Yang illustrates the label’s central design philosophy – balance. The collection is inspired by brilliant light, bold colours and the vividly uplifting atmosphere of Bali.
I am a HUGE fan of Bohemian Chic and for me personally, this is what I saw in the collection – beautiful, chic, well-made bohemian garments, suitable for everyday wear! I could have easily taken home all of the garments that I saw in this collection and I’d be happily set for my summer wardrobe!
Karen Inderbitzen-Waller provided her own unique interpretation of the collection via a fabulous runway show at Auckland waterfront’s Snapdragon. Here are some of my favourites from the collection along with some snaps direct from the runway…
