Beauty media gathered at Auckland’s Hilton Hotel earlier this week to celebrate the launch of Shiseido’s new skincare line – IBUKI (which also see’s new packaging for Shiseido’s skincare range, and I have to say, it’s stunning!). IBUKI – is a Japanese word that refers to ‘Inner Strength’ – a buried resource that can endure adversity and emerge in beautiful condition; and this new range is said to ‘bring your skin to life’.
Hosted by Shiseido’s Brand Manager – Victoria Hannan and International guest speaker – Ms. Mayu Wanibuchi, beauty media were treated to a fabulous breakfast whilst being presented with the new IBUKI skincare range. I have to say I have very fond memories of Shiseido growing up (come on – who didn’t use their ‘moisture mist’ line and ‘compact foundation’?) and their new IBUKI range has reenergised by affinity for Shiseido. The new range includes:
Gentle Cleanser: this is a gentle cleansing foam that lathers into a creamy foam, removing impurities and excess surface cells.
Purifying Cleanser: An invigorating cleanser that contains micro-granules to exfoliate away resistance-lowering impurities.
Softening Concentrate: This one is by far my absolute favourite! This penetrates deeply into the skin’s surface to help build the skins resistance to problems by filling it with moisture. This one actually makes my skin feel like silk – I am infatuated with it at the moment!
Refining Moisturizer: (yeah they spell it with a z): this moisturiser is multi functional and helps improve visible pores, breakouts and skin roughness caused by dryness. Using this one directly following the ‘softening concentrate’ – makes for the perfect skin duo!
Refining Moisturizer Enriched: Much like the Refining Moisturiser, only it feels to be a more concentrated version and lasts all day.
Protective Moisturizer: As I’m sure you’ve guessed – this moisturiser protects against external aggressors such as UV rays and air pollutants.
Eye Correcting Cream: This little gem addresses dark circles, puffiness and fine lines for immediately more vibrant eyes – I’m quite a fan of this one too.
I was fortunate enough to be seated next to Shiseido’s In-house Training Manager who has an absolute abundance of knowledge on all things ‘skincare’, and given she informed me that the key ‘body-repair-time’ is when you are asleep during the hours of 10pm and 2am, I’m seriously going to have to lather these IBUKI goodies on, as that key repair time – is when I’m wide awake with insomnia.
Check out the new IBUKI line, as well a few photos from our lovely morning with the Shiseido Team….
