With parka’s being so on-trend right now, I thought I’d do a ‘Style Sessions’ post on various ways I’ve styled my new boohoo.com parka.
I’m quite a ‘girly girl’ when it comes to fashion, but I’m really loving the parka trend! It’s a little outside my normal dress code, but a warm comfy jacket never goes astray in winter right? Whilst it’s taken me quite some time to choose the perfect parka – one that is just slightly more form-fitting than the average parka, yet still warm enough for winter, and versatile enough to dress up or down. After many weeks searching , I finally found one that I love from boohoo.com and the best part is, it’s feminine and really versatile! I’m not really a ‘hoodie’ wearer, but this parka does come with a hood zipped into the collar. It has a fully adjustable waistline and you can also adjust the hem for either a ‘lantern’ or ‘swing-style’ finish and it’s finished at the back with coat-tail detailing. The one I chose, which you can find you can find here is actually on sale for $50 right now, which is a steal because when I got mine it was 75 bucks! – Why does that always happen to me?
So we decided to head to a nearby reserve and get some snaps wearing my new parka (ok truth be told, the reserve was an excuse to wear my gumboots that I’m a little obsessed with at the moment)…
Parka: Sara Fully Lined Dip Hem Twill Parka from boohoo.com, Bag: boohoo.com, Stag-Print Gumboots: The Warehouse, Pants: Dotti, Sunglasses: Glassons, T-Shirt: Owned for too many years to tell ya! Accessories: Josh King and Shellshock
With a quick shoe change (I opted for my tan brogues) and rolling up the hems of my pants – we’re on to look number 2…

Yeeeaaaah, I’m laughing here because seconds prior – I nearly ended up in the water
For a more ‘sports luxe’ look (and heading to Cafe Melba for brunch) I’ve opted for a pair of jeans from Maxshop.com, hightop wedge sneakers, Cotton On nautical top, Juliette Hogan necklace and my favourite Colette Hayman studded bag…
Next – we headed into Ellerslie township (this is the train station, which I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve never actually been on a train since I was about 4, but hey it made for a nice setting) and in these snaps I’m wearing my boohoo.com parka with my Decjuba singlet, long-sleeved Ricochet top, Decjuba leggings, and Overland leather riding boots…
For a slightly more dressy look, I’ve swapped out the riding boots for high-heeled ankle boots from NumberOneShoes…

I hope this ‘Style Sessions’ post has inspired you to give the parka trend a whirl, or if you already own a parka – perhaps inspired a couple of new ways to wear it.
Have a fabulous week.
