High waisted flares may be this years biggest denim trend – but seriously, when was this elongating silhouette ever out of style?! We’ve always loved our hip hugging, 70s inspired denim, as these are the pants that make your legs look super long (especially when worn with heels).
Not to be confused with boot-cut or wide-legged denim, flares become wider from the knee down. Also known as bell bottoms, and instantly add sophistication to any outfit.
A few closet staples include MiH’s super flattering Marrakesh High Kick flares, Rag & Bone’s looser fitting Justine Wide Leg jeans, and newcomer Frame’s dark washed Forever Karlie jeans. And, for those of you based in NZ & Australia, you can’t go past Rollas’ Eastcoast Faded Bondi Flares, which we’ve just purchased online via goodasgold.co.nz for an absolute bargain at $149. Our ‘lust list’ and next purchase has got to be the Rollas’ Eastcoast Flare Overall (and if they were to exist, we sure would love to get our hands on a dark-denim version of the Eastcoast Bondi Flares).
